29th Annual Brad Davis 2022 Golf Outing at Fox Run

Monaca graduate and Dallas Mavericks NBA star, longtime Player Development Coach, and ESPN radio color analyst, Brad Davis, once again hosted this 29th Annual Brad Davis Golf Outing.

Outing proceeds assist Central Valley H.S. college bound athletes who excel in sports and academics and who also participate in school activities and community service.

Brad extends special thanks to the Brad Davis Foundation Board: Gary Silvestri, Chris Mangin, John Mateer, Dave Scarsella, Marty Olshanski, Mike Dragonjac, and to Coach Otto Pritchard & his wife Levina and to Coach Nichol & his wife Louise, Brad's Texas friends Kent & Diane & to his wife, Kelli.

Did you know that on March 17, 1982, Brad Davis made the longest basketball shot in Dallas Mavericks history…an 80-footer?

This golf event is open to the public. It also reunites Monaca sports graduates and Beaver County Sports Hall of Famers
who support this outing.

Best teams win a plaque, and several other prizes are awarded to golfers such as longest drive, closest to pin, and hole in one.

Many gathered at Monaca Turners to share a delicious dinner, reunite with friends, receive golf prizes, and to honor the scholarship recipients.

Scholarships were presented in loving memory of Robert Phillips & Jeffrey Zopf. Both were Monaca sportsmen from the class of 1973. A third scholarship was presented in memory of Mike Halama, 1973 Monaca graduate, who lived a life of service to Monaca, which included being a longtime Brad Davis Foundation Board member.

2022 Scholarship Recipents

Thanks to Brad Davis, the Brad Davis Foundation Board, 35 volunteers, 50 sponsors, & the golfers,
the Brad Davis Foundation was able to award THREE students with a scholarship this year!

Payton Bauer
His scholarship was given in memory of Bob Phillips.

A second gift was given in memory of Jeff Zoph presented by Brad Davis
to Paige Elmer.

This year a third scholarship was presented by Gary Silvestri to Maggie Brown.
